How it works
01
Pick your document or describe it. OT explains the act, the ID you'll need and what the law caps the fee at.
02
Browse commissioned notaries near you, straight from the state roster, and send a booking request.
03
Meet at your place or on video. Confirmation and receipt are emailed at every step.
NotaryOT Academy
Most notary courses are video playlists from 2015. Ours is a voice simulator: handle a difficult signer, catch an invalid ID, spot modern fraud — and get graded against a professional rubric before it ever happens for real.
California requires a six-hour course of study from a state-approved vendor before you can take the exam. NotaryOT Academy is exam preparation and career training — it is not that course.

"$350 in fees? Nobody told me that. I'm not signing anything until someone explains this."

"That's fair to ask. I can't advise you on the fees myself — but line 3 of your closing disclosure itemizes them, and your loan officer can walk you through it right now. Want me to pause while you call?"

State law guides
Guides are published per state as each rule is verified against the statute and the state handbook — never generated.
California remote online notarization is not operative until the Secretary of State certifies its technology project. Online notarizations for California signers are performed by notaries commissioned in other states.
Meet OT
OT coordinates. Notaries perform.
So does a mobile notary service. OT works out what your signing needs, explains what's about to happen, and gets a commissioned notary to your door. The official act is theirs — always.
No account needed. You'll know the price before anyone knocks.
